About vehicle
Luxury liner this modified 911, introduced at the 1975 paris auto show, also featured a beefy, four-speed gearbox, a large-diameter clutch, hefty cast-aluminum trailing arms at the rear, large wheel bearings and wide wheels (seven inches at the front, eight at the back) made of forged alloy, and the famous pirelli p7 tires created specially for the car. It resembled a porsche racing model, the carrera turbo du mans, but was fully trimmed to luxury levels. supercool the turbo has been called the only practical supercar, and with good reason. At first, driving it could be daunting, because the modified bodywork constituted the sides and made for difficult driver sightlines. As soon as you found a clear, open road, however, you couldnt wait to power it through a fast corner or hit a long straightaway. Back in town, it was as cool and docile as a family four-door.
With the 911 turbo, porsche made its entrance into its eras exclusive family of stylish power cars.
