About vehicle
Cathedral hush the lincoln kb power unit was derived from the firms v8 engine, sharing its use of forked connecting rods so that both banks of cylinders could be placed in perfect opposition and therefore perfect balance. The engine could propel the massive car at 100 mph in a hush befitting a cathedral. In high gear, the engine could pull the lincolns three tons from 20 to 70 mph in just 32 seconds. Rumor had it, however, that the expensive kb still cost ford more than it cost its customers. blue badge to distinguish it from the v8 which bore a red radiator emblem the kb had a blue cloisonne emblem. But even ford could not sustain such a white elephant indefinitely; Production ceased in 1934 after just 2,210 kbs had been built. A new vi2 of only 6.25 litres designated the ka replaced the v8 in 1933-in 1934, both models were replaced by a second-series k lincoln with a ka-based 6.8-litre engine, which was built until 1940.
The most fabulous of the classic-em lincolns, the kb v12 was capable of lapping the brooklands track at over 90 mph.
