It reminded a great many people more of the thunderbird than its predecessor, the mark vi. But the lincoln mark vi was a true continental, even though that designation was dropped from the cars body lettering.

A break from the past the 1984 mark vii, available as standard base car. Luxury sports coupe (iso or versace and bill blass designer series, was given dramatically different styling than previous lincoln marks, its new aerodynamic appearance resulting from a wedge profile and a sharply sloping windshield and back window. Lincoln called it the most airflow-efficient luxury car built in america. this first year, more than 33,000 mark vii1s were built, and total production through 1992 would be about 200.000. designer series standard on the mark vii was a 302-cu.-in. V8 that generated 140 hp. The car had power disc brakes as well as such luxuries as air conditioning, tilt steering, tinted glass and power windows and door locks. In 1985, anti-lock brakes became standard, and the next year the engines power was increased to 200 hp. The higher-priced designer series offered leather sport seats, electronic instruments, and many other luxuries, but at a cost of some s3.000 more than the base model and $1,000 more than the lsc.
Ttie lincoln mark vii was produced for nine years before being replaced by the mark nil. A 1984 model is shown here.
