Three different bodies
all these sports had an aluminum body, streamlined shape and double-bubble roof. The first series had recessed headlights, while the second had conventional vertical faired-in headlights. The super sport had a more aerodynamic and aggressive shape, with a kamm-style cutoff rear and, once again, covered recessed headlights. Later flaminia options included a heated rear window, power side windows and an alternator.
two engines
the zagato sport inherited the flaminias 2.5-litre v6 engine, made more powerful in 1961 with the adoption of three weber carburetors. All flaminias were given a new 2.8-litre v6 in 1963. The super sport engine reached 150 hp. A few lightweight specials gained some class wins in italian sports-car competition. But they were
heavier than the prior appia sport, which had a better power-to-weight ratio and more success on the track
