About vehicle
A civilteed brute the lp 500 version, introduced in 1982, received a bigger v12 engine. At this time, too, paolo stanzani, creator of the original countach, was replaced as research head at lamborghini by giulio alfieri, formerly maseratis chief engineer. Alfieri had shown with the maserati bora that a midengined coupe could be docile and civilized. He raised the lp 500s ground clearance by over an inch for a more practical ride. only 325 made even so, the countach maintained an extremely low profile. Its unusual features, like the front-hinged gullwing doors and between-the-seats transmission, mounted ahead of the front-to-back engine, continued to fascinate. A total of 325 lp 500s were produced before the model was replaced by a new version with four valves per cylinder.
The lp 500 version of the lamborghini countach retained the fascination that this superfast macho machine holds for car lovers.
