About vehicle
Whodunit ¦the lagonda was conceived by an american who traveled to england to perform italian opera and then changed his mind to build cars named after a creek in springfield, ohio! the car might have seemed to come from everywhere at once, but at heart, wilbur gunns creation was a purely english driving machine. what you see when the lagonda vi2 appeared at the london auto show in 1936, its hood was made of glass the better to see the polished camshaft covers, the smooth sweep of its six-port exhaust headers and the regal symmetry of its double ignition distributors. W.o. Bentley, lagondas technical director, was sensitive to the noise levels in his early bentleys and installed a quieter cast-iron block on the lagondas torsion-bar-suspended chassis. The cheaper cast iron also achieved lagondas goal of building attractive but competitively priced automobiles.
The lagonda v12 drophead model had beautiful detailing, including a walnut dashboard with an oversized tachometer and speedometer.
