Sleeping giant
appearing in may of 1957, the jaguar xk 150 was a sports car with a touring car heart in town, and at low speeds, the heavy, 3,000-pound automobile seemed to lumber, bounding heavily over its live back axle and semielliptic springs. But when the road opened up, the xk 150 came into its own.

the xk 150 was produced as. A styling stopgap between the xk 140 and the revolutionary e-type that followed, and it had a secret under its elegant hood: A sophisticated, 213hp, 3-4-liter, in-line six that gave new meaning to the phrase, life begins after 40 mph. the broader the turns, the happier the xk 150 seemed to be, although the hard, flat leather seats barely anchored the drivers backside, a huge steering wheel offered plenty of solid gripping for the driver. Four-wheel disc brakes a big advantage over the
fade-prone drums.of older models provided reliable stopping power around tight corners.
