About vehicle
Sculpted, not molded designer of such models as the lotus esprit and maserati ghibli, giugiaro believes that 1990s sports cars should be sculpted rather than molded. Accordingly, the aztecs side panels have switches, hatches and gauges. The passenger is involved in the operation of the car by way of a digital display and information from the onboard computer, but he is divided from the driver above shoulder level by a separate wraparound windshield. Two side mirrors provide the rear view and double as passing lights. Although only 14 ft. Long, the aztec is unusually wide nearly 6 12 ft. turbocharged audi engine convinced that the sports car of the future will have fourwheel drive, giugiaro chose the drivetrain of the audi quattro 200 for his prototype. The turbocharged five-cylinder engine with air-to-air intercooler was installed transversely behind the cockpit.
Giorgio giugiaro believes the aztec roadster is the way toward the sports car of the future. The trunk holds two plexiglass bubble tops for bad weather
