The cream of crop for Hudson in 1929 was the Model L. series, which included Cowl Phaeton. The Phaeton rode on 139-inc wheelbase chassis was built specifically for custom-made Biddle and Smart bodies. The Phaeton featured two side mounts, a running-board-mounted spotlight, turning pilot ray light and wire wheels. Powering the Phaeton was a 92-hp 288-cid 6-cylinder engine. It is estimated that only seven Hudson Dual Cowl Phaetons exist.
