| | About vehicle A rare specimen
available as a two-door sedan or hardtop, the 427 was very hard to come by. To enable the fairlane to compete in drag-racing events, 70 427s were built in 1966. Production was upped to slightly under 200 in 1967, the last year the 427 was offered by ford. With so few of these cars made, they are highly prized by muscle-car enthusiasts.
