Ferrari 275 Gtb - 1964-1966

Enzo ferrari was always looking for an edge. Not satisfied with his companys international preeminence, he had his design team work with consultant pininfarina to conduct a special study of aerodynamics in the months leading up to the 51st salon de lautomobile in paris in october of 1964. This research led to the creation of the ferrari 275 gtb berlinetta, its newest two-passenger coupe

About vehicle
Clean and pretty what pininfarina came up with was a clean-looking front end, a grille tilted underneath and headlights faired in behind chrome trimmed glass covers to cany out the compound surface line of the front fenders. At the rear, the body was chopped off. The car also sported the spoiler lip that by then was a trademark on ferrari competition sports and grand touring cars. wheels of fortune the new ferrari sported one other noteworthy departure. While some of the 275 gtbs had the wire wheels traditional on ferrari sports racing and grand touring gtos, pininfarina substituted handsome cast-alloy wheels, like those of ferrari grand prix cars, on others. The engine employed a type 275 twelve-cylinder, 3.29-litre engine, but was rated at 280 hp at 7500 rpm.
The ferrari 275 gtb evoked the lines of the racing berlinettas from 1962, but the chassis and the four-wheel independent suspension signaled a serious effort at modern construction
